The Amsterdam Monster Factory is a state of the art Augmented Reality /immersive educational tool for everyone. Brought to life as a fun quest through the city, it entails visiting nine animated AR storytelling installations, where the waiting Monsters tell the history of that location through the values that they represent, and connect it to the open minded spirit of Amsterdam.

 

Viewed through a telephone or tablet, each story is a unique fully animated experience, complete with music, special effects and 3D sound – on top of hearing the engaging (hi)stories of the beautiful city of Amsterdam.

 

And that’s not all!….. collecting a virtual ‘Amsterdam X’ at the conclusion of every story delivers discounts, extra content and some special prizes of tickets for events taking place during the anniversary year of Amsterdam 750.

What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated content.

 

What this means is that you can see the Monsters and hear the history of key places in Amsterdam at the exact location where it happened.
